The Asbestos Control & Abatement Division (ACAD) formed as a separate division of the Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA) in 1994 as a Trade Association and UKATA Asbestos Removal Training Provider representing specialists in asbestos removal.
As a non-profit making Association, our members are critical to the growth of ACAD.
Membership through ownership gives ACAD the opportunity to continue providing expert advice and support to the industry as well as the ability to assist all members in the developments they make as organisations in this essential and relevant industry.
ACAD is dedicated to ensuring its members work to the exacting standards required by legislation in the Asbestos Industry. Working closely with the HSE's Asbestos Liaison Group (ALG), British Standards Institute (BSI) and the Asbestos Building Inspectors Certification Scheme (ABICS), ACAD are able to offer its membership a variety of benefits depending on their individual requirements.

Asbestos Training
ACAD also provides first class asbestos removal training approved by UKATA (United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association) and has the ability to tailor particular courses to your individual requirements.
ACAD have a dedicated Training Co-ordinator and three full-time Trainers who are able to arrange courses at various locations around the UK including Darlington, Glasgow, Essex, Birmingham and Bristol but who are also willing to provide training ‘in-house' on request.
