National Skills Final 2009

The National Apprenticeship Competition was held at the TICA Training Centre in Darlington on Wednesday 2nd September 2009.
The apprentices chosen to represent their region were:
-
Northern Scotland - Mark Smith - Cape Industrial Services

Southern Scotland - James McGuire - Cape Industrial Services
-
North East - Michael Tait - C&D Group of companies
-
Midlands - Jason Stubbs - Driscoll Insulation
-
South East - William Armstrong Guy - Hertel Services
-
South West - Daniel Harris - Cape Industrial Services
After much deliberation by our judge, Mike Lamb it was decided that the 2009 winner was Jason Stubbs.
Jason and the runners up were all presented with their awards by Graham Gooch, the Guest Speaker at the 2009 AGM in London. Jason was very excited about his award - so much so he dropped his trophy! See left for the smashing results!
IETA would like to congratulate all the apprentices who took part and are extremely proud to know we have such gifted apprentices progressing into qualified tradesmen.
